7up Barbecue Chicken on the Grill

Image
The marinade's secret ingredient is 7Up. With a splash of soy sauce, a pinch of Canadian seasoning or garlic powder, and a drizzle of canola oil, you've got a dinner fit for a king.   You may either marinade and cook the chicken breasts or go a step further.   From now until the end of time, this will be your go-to grilled 7up chicken . Dry, tasteless chicken is no longer a thing.   A couple of chicken breasts without the sauce Use the marinated chicken breasts in a stir-fry and freeze the grilled breasts for later. That way, you've completed the majority of the prep work for your next meal. This was served with fresh peas and potatoes from our garden tonight.     The raspberries have been ripening in full force, which takes a long time. The raspberry patch hasn't been as hectic this summer as it has been in previous years. The early, warmer-than-average spring, combined with another cold front, wreaked havoc on the regular output. We normally have an abundance ...

Sushi prepared at home

Image
Homemade sushi will never be on par with sushi from NYC's greatest sushi restaurants, but it does have one advantage:   What kind of seaweed should you use for sushi?   You'll need the correct sort of seaweed to get started. The one on the left is thick and ideal for sushi rolling (this is the one I use). The right-hand one is too fragile.   Spread a layer of prepared sushi rice over the seaweed and gently flatten with a rice paddle, but do not smash the rice. It was a half-pound portion that provided enough fish for around six rolls and some munching.     How to chop raw fish for sushi: Here's how to make home sushi using salmon. First, cut straight through the centre of the fillet, then cut that piece in half to make a tiny strip:   Place the items you want on top of the rice. Have salmon, avocado, and cream cheese on hand. Using a bamboo mat, roll it up tightly.    If you don't have one, you can make do with parchment paper or plastic wrap, bu...

Baby Back Ribs in a Slow Cooker

Image
These slow cooker bbq ribs in the Slow Cooker are incredible! Incredible taste, tenderness, and succulents. They gracefully slide off the bone and melt in your tongue like no other.   Why these Crockpot BBQ baby back ribs will be a hit:   Extremely simple and low-maintenance: These ribs are cooked on LOW for 6 hours and then broiled for 2-4 minutes at the end to create that wonderful caramelization. For the most part, this is a hands-off dish. They're really soft and fall off the bone, but they don't turn into "pulled pork." It's the ideal compromise. The dry rub on the ribs is out of this world! For that typical BBQ ribs flavour, use a lot of aromatic spices and brown sugar. Use your favourite BBQ sauce to make this dish: Use your favourite store-bought BBQ sauce to keep things straightforward, convenient, and uncomplicated. Alternatively, try fresh fruit salad .   Slow Cooker Dimensions and Shape   This Crockpot 6-quart slow cooker comes highly recommended. Use...
